Lindsay, similarly to Meaghan, graduated from the Queen’s Trent Concurrent Education program in the Primary/Junior stream, but with a double major of History and English. She knew from early high school age that she wanted to teach abroad after graduation, and thanks to Aurelia she was able to do just that. In fact, Aurelia also made it possible for her partner to get a job as a Teaching Assistant, so she was able to bring him along and make the experience even better. The two have recently returned from having what Lindsay calls an amazing two years in Yorkshire, England where she taught years 7-9 English and Humanities.
Now back in Canada, Lindsay could not be more excited about joining the Aurelia team as an Education Consultant so that she is able to share her experience with teachers like you and support them through their own process. While it has definitely been sad to leave behind the students and close friends she made in England, the opportunity to continue working with Aurelia has made it worth it. It also doesn’t hurt that being back in Canada means she’s closer to her dog and adorable nephews as well.
