Meaghan was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario (Dundas more specifically, for those who are familiar). She completed the Queen's-Trent Concurrent Education program in the Primary/Junior stream, obtaining a major in Psychology and minor in History. During her studies at the Department of Education in Kingston, she took her first crack at international teaching when she completed an alternative practicum at a state school in Nicaragua.
After graduating in 2015, Meaghan got her first job at an international school in Turkey teaching Kindergarten. Due to some political instability in the country, Meaghan turned her attention to the UK and found a Year 3 position in Stoke-on-Trent through Aurelia. She currently lives in the North West of England with her partner and dog.
After teaching for two terms, she joined the Aurelia team to aid with teaching assistant recruitment. She has now transitioned to the role of Practicum Manager, ensuring that student teachers completing their practicums in the UK have all the resources and tools they need to succeed. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dog, travelling, and playing the ukulele.
